How many pets is too many?
Just curious on other peoples opinion on how many pets is too many? Im not talking like 100 cats, or 40 dogs. or any rediculous thing like that. But as long as theyre all fed, watered, cleaned, and given a fair amount of attention(depending on the animal), does it matter how many you have?
Ive been told by a few people that I have too many pets, which is why Im curious.
I have
2 cats
4 rats
2 mice
2 ferrets
They are all well taken care of and I love them all, is that really too many pets?
Actually the cats play with the one ferret, and the other one is tiny so they ignore her. The rats they ignore as well, and the ferrets never see them. The mice are the newest, only a couple days, so my one cat is VERY interested and would love to terrorize them. But they cant get to them so its all safe.
As for the smell, there is no smell at all unless youre right up at the cage. Theyre in the livingroom and no one has ever complained about it.
Makes me feel better lol
You have too many when it becomes a burden to take care of them and you don’t have the time to spend with each one of them that they require.

YES THERE ARE GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS ON HOW MANY PETS YOU CAN HAVE. CALL YOUR LOCAL CITY HALL AND FIND OUT…

i don’t no much about laws and i think if you have time for them and if you take good care of them there shouldn’t be a problem but i would check if it is against the law

That’s subjective. I think it would depend upon what resources you have to offer. If you have the money to support them and the time to commit to them, then no you don’t have too many pets.
I have two cats and two small dogs. My 12-year-old is very helpful in caring for and walking these animals. And, it is not inexpensive to keep them up… grooming, food, toys, vet bills, collars/leashes, etc., etc., etc.!!! But they are happy, healthy and they have an incredible life and home. They are lucky animals!

Well I have three dogs, nine rabbits, two cats and a hamster and we’re coping fine. They’re fed well, excersised, it has actually been ages since we’ve needed to see a vet. I’m not positive about the law but as long as they are all healthy I don’t care :), they’re family.
K????
